Lamrim and Solitary Hero Yamāntaka – Commentary Retreat
Gyumed Khensur Rinpoche Lobsang Jampa
August 23 - 31, 2024
About the Retreat
We are so fortunate that our kind and compassionate guru, Gyumed Khensur Rinpoche Lobsang Jampa, is returning to Vajrapani Institute to lead this precious and rare retreat.
The Solitary Hero Yamāntaka practice is an especially potent technique for transforming negative energy, such as anger or hatred, into a spiritual path. This method skillfully dismantles ego-driven selfishness, ignorance, and other afflictions, paving the way for the development of bodhicitta and the attainment of enlightenment.
Rinpoche will begin teaching two days on Lama Tsongkhapa’s famous prayer, The Foundation of All Good Qualities. A concise and stirring outline of the Lam-Rim, the prayer covers the entire graduated path to enlightenment, short enough to recite every day, profound enough to study for a lifetime.Rinpoche will continue the remaining five days with a commentary on Solitary Hero Yamāntaka, with possible Q&A time.
Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to explore this profound practice, to deepen your experience and understanding, with the guidance of Rinpoche, a fully qualified Vajra master.
Vajrasattva Initiation – NEW!
Upon special request from a student, Rinpoche has agreed to give Highest Yoga Tantra Vajrasattva Initiation on Sunday afternoon – allowing students coming for the full retreat and those coming for the weekend to receive this precious initiation. Be prepared that this initiation, like all Highest Yoga Tantra Initiations, will mean taking tantric vows and a small daily commitment (example: saying the 100 syllable mantra 3x a day).
This Vajrasattva Highest Yoga Tantra Initiation is open to the public. If you or a friend would like to just attend this initiation and not the retreat, please email office@vajrapani.org to register.
