Diving Deeper into Vajrayogini Practice

Event Description

August 29th – September 2nd, 2018

Silence Level

What is it?

This retreat will focus on actualizing realizations through attending to the energy of the Vajrayogini sadhana, addressing its content and meaning, and presenting methods for enlivening its practice. We will combine our sadhana with Mahamudra meditation that has the potential to engender profound depths in meditation along with a taste of immense joy. Sharing participants’ collective years of practice with their Dharma energizing tips and techniques, this retreat promises to be fun, relaxing yet invigorating, and practical.

A personal message from Elaine:

Dear Friends,

Recently, while watching a documentary entitled, “The People Speak,” I was struck by the ongoing travails of people in the United States dating all the way back to the 1400s. There has always been a struggle between those who have more than they need, and those who don’t have enough. The three of us watching the film, based on Howard Zinn’s, “A People’s History of the United States,” agreed that as long as there are greed, ignorance and hatred, there will always be the oppressed and the oppressor.

Ignorance is our adversary. It is the fundamental cause of all our suffering. The good news is that ignorance can be eliminated. Vajrayogini is a powerful practice to cut through ignorance and cultivate profound wisdom, love and compassion. The practice of Vajrayogini is said to be especially effective in “degenerate times.”

Please join us as we collectively share our experience of this practice and offer support to one another. Immersing ourselves in the true meaning of Dharma practice, we discover the truth of reality. I look forward to sharing this ancient practice with you.

Biggest love,
