In this extraordinary eight-day teaching by Gyumed Khensur Lobsang Jampa Rinpoche, Rinpoche will teach a series of Mahayana Buddhist instructions on the topic known as the Mahāmudrā or Great Seal. This system of practice, which is based on the canonical sources of the Prajñāpāramitā Sūtras and the Anuttarayoga Tantras, was taught by such great Indian masters as Saraha, Nāgārjuna, Mahāsukha Nātha, Tilopa, Maitripa, and Naropa. Similarly, great Tibetan lamas such as Milarepa, Sakya Pandit, and Lama Tsongkhapa were renowned as masters of Mahāmudrā, and Lama Tsongkhapa transmitted a unique lineage of Mahāmudrā meditation.

Who is it for?
These teachings will include an explanation of a unique method for gaining calm abiding based on the skillful means of tantra. For those who attended the Six Yogas of Naropa retreat at Vajrapani Institute in December 2016, the Mahāmudrā retreat will be an excellent follow-up to that.
